Education for Sustainable Development ESD
ESD is holistic and transformational education which addresses learning content and outcomes, pedagogy and the learning environment. It achieves its purpose by transforming society. Learning content : Integrating critical issues, such as climate change, biodiversity, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and sustainable consumption and production (SCP), into the curriculum. Goal 4: Education; Goal 5: Gender equality and women’s empowerment; Goal 6: Water and Sanitation Education is embedded in sectors working with sustainable development, from nonformal to institutional forms of education. Our programme provides a foundation for you to create your own position in a dynamic employment market with increasing needs for educating different sectors, companies, etc., about sustainability. Education for Sustainable Development provides an exciting vision of an interdisciplinary and learner-centred way to empower students to advance a pro-social and environmental agenda in their organisations, communities and personal lives.
